The booklet is primarily the memoir of the author who was born and brought up in Katra Neel in Old Delhi, and lived there for most part of his life, since independence. In fact, he has traced his legacy upto his grandfathers-grandfather who also lived in Delhi; perhaps born in early nineteenth century. All the subsequent generations were raised in Delhi only.
Having lived in Old Delhi for most part of his life, post his birth, it would go beyond doubt that the author would be the most appropriate person to pen down his string of themed occurrences in the city from fifties onwards, for sharing it with others. 
Before narrating about his experiences, the author has described about the seven successive medieval cities of Delhi, the earliest being over a millennium old. In fact he has very briefly dealt with the historical city of Delhi from the times of Mahabharata, which is an interesting read.
In the booklet the author has fittingly described about the historical and cultural events of the city which makes it different from others. Also reflected in the booklet are his experience since the fifties to the present day. He deals in detail about the fabric of a family, daily life, marriages and such other events that existed during those days. 
An intriguing booklet for all, be it young or old.
