The Rising of Kali

The Rising of Kali follows Saumya, a young woman raised in the disciplined isolation of a Gurukul, where restraint and inner balance are valued above all else. Her life fractures when her elder sister, Adhira, disappears after a failed attempt to claim a divine sword sealed within the Gurukul vault. Left behind is a single clue: a card marked with a dragon insignia.
Years later, Saumya follows that clue into a world far removed from spiritual training. Her search leads her into The Factory, a covert institution that subjects young girls to lethal trials designed to break and weaponise them. What begins as a quest to find her sister becomes a fight for survival, forcing Saumya to cross moral and psychological lines she can never fully retreat from. During her escape, the violence she unleashes earns her a name she does not choose but cannot escape: Kali. 
As Saumya dismantles the system that imprisoned her and continues her search for Adhira, the story widens into a larger mythological conflict. An ancient divine spear resurfaces through an archaeological expedition, empowering a man tied to Saumya’s past and placing the Gurukul itself under threat. In the final confrontation, Saumya learns that victory cannot come from rage or destruction alone. To survive, she must master the very force that defines her.
